Products and services in the online store are sold by Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia (Business ID: 0208201-1).
1. Personal Data and Registration
Ordering from the online store does not necessarily require registration.
Registering in the online store makes future purchases easier. As a registered user, you can also review your previous orders. The username is the email address provided during registration. The username and the password created during registration are personal. The customer is responsible for keeping their username and password secure so that they are not disclosed to third parties. The customer is responsible for all use carried out with their username and password, as well as any resulting charges.
The customer must provide the necessary information required for using the service and placing an order in the online store. Ordering service products requires providing the name of the recipient of the product when placing the order.
Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia has the right to process the customer’s personal data in accordance with data protection regulations and other legislation. The information of registered customers is stored in the online store’s customer register. Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia does not disclose customer data to third parties without separately obtaining the customer’s consent. The customer has a legal right to prohibit the processing of their personal data for direct marketing, distance selling, or other direct marketing purposes, as well as for market research and opinion survey, personal registers, and genealogical research.
2. Ordering
Products are ordered via the internet at verkkokauppa.gradia.fi through the shopping cart.
All orders are confirmed by email, which includes the ordered products, the total price, and the delivery method. Receiving the order confirmation, as well as scanned or electronic certificates, requires providing an email address at the time of ordering.
By placing an order, the customer agrees to the applicable terms and conditions relating to the ordered product.
3. Payment Methods
Products are paid for at the time of ordering using Finnish online banking payment buttons or major credit cards. Payments are processed via a secure connection through the Suomi.fi Payments (Paytrail) service.
4. Prices and Value Added Tax
The valid price of products ordered from the online store is the price shown in the price list at the time of ordering. All prices are in euros (EUR).
Product prices displayed in the online store include applicable VAT and delivery costs. The right to change prices is reserved.
Postal delivery is not available for all products in the online store (e.g., electronic certificates). The delivery method is specified for each product on verkkokauppa.gradia.fi.
5. Delivery
Products are delivered to the address provided by the customer, either by post or via email as an attachment or link. In urgent cases, certain products can also be collected from Gradia campuses in Jyväskylä or Jämsä. Up-to-date information on delivery methods is available on verkkokauppa.gradia.fi.
If the delivery method is collection, the order can be collected from the location specified in the product description. The product must be collected within one week of purchase unless otherwise agreed. The collection time must be agreed in advance with the pickup location. Uncollected products revert to the seller, and the purchase price will not be refunded.
Products are dispatched on weekdays. A notification of dispatch is sent to the customer’s email.
If the delivery does not correspond to the order or is damaged during transport or otherwise, the customer must immediately notify the supplier (Gradia).
6. Cancellation Policy
An order can be cancelled by contacting Gradia. If the order has already been paid for and delivered, cancellation is no longer possible.
7. Returns
Customers have a 14-day right of exchange and return in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. Returns are not accepted after more than 14 days from delivery. Returned products must be in the same condition as when received. All returns must be agreed in advance with the supplier. Customers are requested to contact the supplier by email before returning the product. The customer bears all return costs unless there is a clear error caused by the supplier.
The right of return does not apply to fees charged for certificates unless the certificate is incorrect. Returns are not processed in July. At other times, processing takes approximately two weeks.
For exchanges and returns, please contact your online store and payment service contact person. Include the following information with the return: your customer number, name, address, phone number, and a copy of the order confirmation.
8. Payment Methods
Products and their delivery/postal costs are paid at the time of ordering. The following payment methods are accepted: Aktia, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Nordea, Osuuspankki, POP Pankki, S-Pankki, Säästöpankki, Ålandsbanken, MasterCard credit and debit cards, Visa credit and debit cards, and MobilePay. Payments are made through the Paytrail Oyj service.
9. Payment Service Provider
The payment service provider is Paytrail Oyj (Business ID: 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and financial institutions. Paytrail Oyj is shown as the recipient of the payment on bank statements or card invoices and forwards the payment to the online store merchant. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution.

10. Force Majeure
The Gradia online store is not liable for delays, difficulties, or failure to deliver orders caused by force majeure.
11. Dispute Resolution
If an agreement cannot be reached through negotiations, disputes will be resolved by a district court in accordance with Finnish law.
