Electronic certificate for degree education completed or withdrawn on or after January 1, 2025

If you graduated from or withdrew from degree education on or after January 1, 2025, you received your certificate by email as a link valid for 14 days. If the certificate has been lost, you can order a new electronic certificate from the Gradia online store. When placing the order, you provide your personal details, contact information, the educational institution, the name of the degree, and the date of graduation or withdrawal. A new link will be sent via encrypted email. The service is subject to a fee.
Price
A fee of €25 per degree or training program is charged for an electronic certificate with attachments (H 19 Dec 2024).
Processing time
Certificates are delivered in the order in which orders are received, approximately within two weeks of payment. During holiday periods, delivery may be delayed, and in special cases it may take up to one month (Act on the Openness of Government Activities, Section 14). Processing times may also be longer during school application periods, when the certificate archive may be particularly busy.

Certificates outside the EU
An electronic degree or final certificate is generally accepted abroad as well, especially within EU countries. However, if you need a paper certificate for studying or job applications abroad, you can request one free of charge from Gradia’s student services office or central archive. A paper certificate is not official. When making the request, you must briefly state the reason for your need. The request can be made in person at the student services office or by mail: todistukset@gradia.fi.

A fee is charged for the delivery of the certificate and is paid when placing the order.

The certificate will not be delivered until the payment has been made.

Gradia is not responsible for whether the certificate is suitable for the purpose for which the customer intends to use it.

Gradia is not responsible for documents lost in the mail or for their arrival by a specific deadline.

Gradia does not translate certificates into other languages.

The delivery time is approximately two weeks. During holiday periods and school application periods, delivery may take longer.

The order can only be cancelled if it has not yet been delivered.

A delivered order cannot be cancelled, and the payment will not be refunded.
